Cotton Council International (CCI) recently partnered
with Mr. Chen Wen, a pre-eminent denim design master in China and an esteemed
Hong Kong-based denim fabric manufacturer, H.W. Textiles Co., Ltd. to launch
the 2020 S/S Denim Fashion Collection during China Fashion Week held at First
Workshop, 751D-Park in Beijing.
Under the theme of “COTTON USA: The Intimate Art of
Denim”, the 2020 S/S denim fashion show was led by three collections, including
“Athleisure Chic”, “Passion for Body Shaping” and “Vocation Wardrobe” to
interpret fashionable, passionate, leisure and functional aspects of U.S.
cotton-rich denim fabrics wearable during workouts, as chic street fashion, at the
office, on holiday and by the beach side.
With the creativity of Mr. Chen Wen, the runway
collection is supported by H.W. Textiles Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary
of HingTex Holdings Ltd., which was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Their U.S. cotton-rich denim fabrics are woven with cutting-edge innovative
technologies which provide a soft hand-feel, light weight, and numerous
functional features and are comfortable to wear during spring and summer
seasons.
This was the third time COTTON USA™ partnering with
Mr. Chen Wen to launch a U.S. cotton-rich denim fashion collection during China
Fashion Week.
“I feel honored to work again with COTTON USA™ and
their licensee, H.W. Textiles to launch the 2020 S/S denim fashion collection,”
said Mr. Chen Wen. “The romance of spring and joy and glow of summer are
revealed by the three collections using innovative U.S. cotton-rich highly
flexible and recycled cotton blended denim fabrics with special finishing
treatments and pollution-free digital laser printing technology.
“Through three different collections, this denim
fashion show represents a grand gathering of fashion creativity and
technological innovation while showcasing high quality and sustainable U.S.
cotton fiber.” Karin Malmstrom, Director, China and Northeast Asia of CCI said.
“At COTTON USA™, we aim to inspire the textile industry with new ideas,
technologies and opportunities that propel businesses forward. We also
appreciate very much the strong support from our licensee H.W. Textile to make
this event a great success,” said Ms. Karin Malmstrom, Director, China and
Northeast Asia, CCI.
“Sustainability is something that I am really
passionate about and we are trying to incorporate more into our fabric
production. Apart from using high quality U.S. cotton fiber, we are also using
recycled cotton blended and other renewable fiber materials in our products,
which we hope to address the growing environmental awareness in the industry,”
shared Stephen Tung, Director of H.W. Textiles Co., Ltd. “We feel honored to
have the opportunity to launch the 2020 S/S denim fashion collections to
transform traditional denim into a more fashionable and sustainable direction
by integrating technological innovations and designer’s creativity.”
The 2020 S/S denim fashion collection was created
by Mr. Chen Wen who established his design concept by integrating functional
denim fabrics and a healthy lifestyle with today’s fashion trends, endowing his
collections with eye-catching patterns, colorful graffiti and different fashion
elements.
Leveraging the functionality and comfort of
innovative denim fabrics, Chen Wen incorporated the latest digital printing
technology, finishing treatment and washing effects into denim design, making
denim a natural choice for people who care about what they wear in their daily
lives.
