The bi-annual signature event of the
textile industry, the 18th International Exhibition on Textile Industry
(ShanghaiTex 2017) will be held at Shanghai New International Expo Center
(Pudong, Shanghai) on 27-30 November.
With Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing
the changing landscape of textile industry, the show will unveil a parade of
“Textile for Smarter Future” with over 1,200 anticipated exhibitors. More than
60,000 professional buyers are expected to participate for commercial
procurement.
Therefore, apart from latest high-tech technologies
and sustainable solutions, ShanghaiTex 2017 will present a high-end innovation
feast integrating the textile technologies and cross-boundary applications for
the first time, leading the industry on the trend to the emerging Industry 4.0

breaking C2M Smart Factory Experience Zone
As more consumers use smartphones for
shopping, the Customer to Manufactory (C2M) business model is replacing the
traditional supply chain. ShanghaiTex 2017 will set up a brand new C2M Smart
Factory Experience Zone in which selected leading companies will showcase revolutionary
production technologies.
These technologies include the world’s
latest 3D body scanning and virtual fitting technology, ERP/MES systems, as
well as e-commerce platforms to simulate the operation of a smart factory.
A series of splendid concurrent seminars
will also shed lights on forecasting C2M trend in the coming 5 years to bring more
practical solutions to interested industrial players.

High
performance knitting in life style
Knitting technology is always evolving in
accordance to our ever-changing lifestyle. Advanced functional fiber processing
uplifts the properties of knitwear, such as elasticity, breathability, softness
etc. High performance knitting technologies and their innovative applications
will be showcased extensively in the show.
The highlighted technologies cover Knitting
& Hosiery, Functional Fibers and Wearable Electronics, targeting

of innovations in the Sports Arena
With the rise of athleisure trend, the
concurrent event Sports Arena will look into three hot topics: sports bra,

Extensive
digital printing applications

With the enormous technology development,
the applications of digital printing have extended and are no longer limited to
fashion and garment. Following its popularity from the last edition, the
Digital Printing Machinery Zone has an expansion and has received substantial
support from renowned exhibitors.
With a focus on short production cycle,
low-volume and on-demand production, the zone will unleash the latest digital
printing technologies and applications under the customization trend, bringing
its great development potential towards Industry 4.0.
During the show period, the organizers will
also host a seminar The Latest Digital Printing Trends to discuss the hot

New
Eco-Denim Centre on stage
A special denim theme zone Eco-Denim Centre
will be newly featured at Shanghaitex 2017. A series of new and sustainable
technologies including dyes, additives, chemicals; finishing equipment and
laser processing equipment will be unleashed.
An inspiring seminar Denim Mastermind will
also be held to address the challenges and opportunities of the denim industry
and introduce the latest production solutions.
Fast
track to enhance partnership with Marks & Spencer
In response to promote sustainable
manufacturing, ShanghaiTex 2017 has collaborated with Marks & Spencer
(M&S) to conduct a trendsetting forum “Marks & Spencer - Plan A 2025”
on Day 2 of the show.
In January 2007, M&S introduced an
environmental and ethical plan called Plan A, indicating the core value of the
company to help protect the planet by sourcing responsibly and reducing waste.
And in 2014, M&S introduced Plan A 2020 which consists of 100 new and
modified commitments to achieve by 2020.
M&S needs to invest in its supply chain
and work with the right partner. Therefore, the organizers have invited Mr.
Toiny Pang, Technical Sustainability Manager, Quality & Compliance from
M&S, to share more details about Plan A 2025 and to discuss latest green
manufacturing solutions in the forum.
